So, it's been a long time since I've last written anything of note. I've been a very busy lady. Colin is three years old! I can't believe almost two years have gone by in such a blur. He's just starting to form those sloppy sentences that women adore so much, and I've started teaching him his alphabet. He's catching on, but he's more interested in his little sister finally learning how to play.

That's right! One of the reasons I haven't been on is that on February 10, 2008 I gave birth to my second cherub, Alice. She was a whopping 6 lbs 11 ounces, and she has her Daddy's eyes and Mommy's crazy hair. Colin was thrilled to have someone new, although I think he's starting to understand jealousy a lot earlier than I intended...He's my little trooper though. I love them both so very much. The year seemed to just fly by!

Adam got a raise at work just in time, and he's so thrilled to finally have a "daddy's girl" of his own. We both got our wish of one of each, and we're thanking God everyday. I'd of course been sleeping a lot less, but that's one of the joys of motherhood I ought to be sleeping now, but I couldn't help but meander through some of the beautiful art that goes up on here. I've made such wonderful friends through this, and I hate to think that they think I might have forgotten them. I try to email those closest to me, but I just get so worn out between Alice and Colin.

However, I am making amends for that! I have decided that Mommy is going to take some me-time for herself while Grandma takes the kids to the zoo tomorrow. Colin wants to see the lions - he's watched all of the Lion King movies and insists upon adding to his collection of feline predators. I told my mother-in-law not to indulge in him too much, but I'm pretty certain he's going to bring home that big stuffed lion he had his eye on the last time we were in the gift shop. But he's a good little boy, and such a sweetheart, so I'm not too worried about him growing up spoiled. Especially now that he has his little sister.

Well, I have certainly been dragging on and on, but it's just so refreshing to be back in writing form. I hope everyone is having a wonderful time in their lives, and I hope to hear from some of you very soon. As always, take time to smell the roses and try new things!
